I met my virtual friend Amir Salehi about two years ago when I was researching fly fishing in Iran. His story is written here on Switters B website. He is Iranian, but lives and works in Sweden. We are Facebook friends and we occasionally chat if we happen to be online at the same time on Yahoo.
I haven’t spoken to him in a few months, but today I was fortunate enough to chat with him for a few minutes. He is currently in Tehran for the next few weeks and has been there since Nowruz. He caught me up on all the yummy foods he has been eating and how much fun he has had visiting his family, friends and fly fishing. He said there are limited areas he can fly fish at this time as the rivers don’t open up for fishing until July. He said they are too muddy anyways to see before then.
