WADERS….can be Hot

What can I say about waders except the fact they are a key item to have in your gear for fishing.  When I first began fish it was the midst of summer and had the rod and reel, and went on very hot days.  Waders didn’t seem to be important to me, until the first time I fished in very cold water for a very long time and realized it was time to start my search for waders.

Having no knowledge in this area, I did a few inquiries to include April Vokey, who so kindly called me to help me out with my dilemma of wader purchasing.  I took her recommendation as she is a most beautiful lady in waders and out  and found a pair of gently used Simms waders online on Ebay.  They were very affordable and came with a guarantee.  How awesome is this?  Well okay awesome except I hadn’t tried them on before purchase of course….they were quite large in the bootie section and in the whole body section.  But they work…work well actually once I put all my under layers on, I still have plenty of room underneath.

There are great resources on fishing websites for wader care, as they do need to be handled with care and then your investment will last much longer.

Waders are no fashion statement….actually they make me look like an oompah loompah or maybe a stuffed sausage, but they do keep my body dry and fairly warm if I have enough under armour on.

  4. Hello, Miss P!! Great, fun, post and comments, ladies (and gents, I guess). Would love to hear more about the actual fishing as well. Thanks so much for liking some recent posts “Blue Mist” and “Misty Morning on the Golf Course”. How you found that after discussing wading is beyond me, but again, thanks!

I love looking at photography. I may have stumbled onto your blog looking at someone else’s but you do have some great pictures. I am not so dandy with the camera, but if I at least capture a bit of it, I know what I felt when I look back on the picture. Thanks for sharing your photos 🙂

I suppose one must lure the fish, not mesmerize them 🙂

Who knows, maybe if you make the waders tighter and pink you might even put it in fashion. By the way read yesterday some of your post´s. Seems you are a tight family, I like that. Those are the people that really mater. Glad you stopped by my little crazy blog.

  14. Loved the waders! Thank you for visiting my blog today! Blessings, Natalie 🙂

Oh my gosh, this is great. I’m in the market for some waders. I’ll be photographing some guys hunting and fishing and thus will need to enter the water myself. I never thought anyone could make a set of waders look sexy… I stand corrected 🙂

  16. I love the juxtaposed photos. And I think you ladies look way better than the young uns.
