You know when you can’t sleep and all you start thinking about is how you need to fall asleep.
So I posted my dilemma to some friends and I got various ideas.
-acupuncture. Never tried, but willing if I had a good referral
-hot tub, trying that out, so I will let you know if that works
-valerian root tea, it seems I tried that long ago but don’t remember if it worked.
-triptofan. I guess they sell this in supplements, so full thanksgiving dinner not necessary.
I have tried no caffeine after noon, no computer after 7 (tonight is an exception) melatonin.
Things that maybe causing me to stay awake… Was alone for a few nights and that made me on edge. It doesn’t help that Charlie barks at any unusual shapes or shadows. That deep scary bark (teddy didn’t have that) I start school next week and I am honestly nervous. Work has been more stressful than usual and then a serious item has been on my mind for a few weeks and I need to resolve it. Put it to REST!!
So as I stare up at the stars, sitting in the hot tub, writing this post I am chanting “you are getting sleepy…. “
